![]() ![]() It's different from a 'playby' which is where you're simply using the appearance/likeness of a character. It's a term that I first encountered and most predominantly encounter in roleplay communities where people will 'export' a character from one universe into another and play it there. "But humanity must press on because the Imaginary Tree must grow and those who fail will become wilted shadows in the Sea Of Quanta." The worst ones repeating its doomsday perpetually, with no one being the wiser. Those ones are called bubble universes, and some are more stable than others. Into the Dirac Sea, becoming a fragmented version of its former self. What happens when a leaf(world) ultimately perishes against the Honkai? It falls off. Humanity must grow, grow, and grow perpetually in order to defeat the Honkai, just as the tree itself wishes to consume the sea. Honkai is like a self-administered vaccine taken by the tree periodically. Any and all kinds of world-ending calamities are the Honkai. To humans, it could be monsters, a wide-spread pandemic, a natural disaster. What the hell is the Honkai? The imaginary tree wanted to strengthen its branches, and thus, has a natural system that breeds, nurtures, tests and removes parts of itself that it finds weak. Supposedly, each and every leaf is a universe. But make no mistake, it's not that small. Where do we come in? Well, each branch of this darned tree is a reality in and of itself, and within every branch are further branching paths, commonly referred to as alternate realities. ![]() Their battle is everlasting, as the Sea of Quanta is vast and infinite, it will perpetually try to drown the tree, while the Imaginary Tree will forever try to suck the sea dry. Suddenly, a tree came and willed itself into existence! The endless void was like "eyyo wtf." and tried to drown the imaginary tree, to which the tree responded, "hehe slurp slurp" and it started absorbing all that sweet, sweet quantum water, making it grow. It's just by itself, doing its thing and being an actual ocean of nothingness and stuff. So there's this endless void that's existed since forever. Good question, I don't know where to start! ![]()
